Gini, This is Gwen. Henry Johnson was born in Miller LaSalle Co., IL in 1835. His wife Ellen Olson was born 1833 more than probably in Norway. Now if that means Norway, Norway or Norway Twp., in IL I don't know. Her parents were born in Askerhus, Buskernd, Norway. Her parents names were Austin Olson Sr., and Carolina Hayer. I have had some researcher done on the Sloopers but have not connected Ellen's family with them as yet. Now weather or not Henry Johnson's family is connected with them I am not sure but worth looking into. If you wouldn't mind doing this for me that would be great. What I am trying hard to determine was who Henry Johnson's parents were which an earlier lister said that possibly his parents were from somewhere in Norway.
