    1. [ILLASALL-L] Prairie Farmer
    2. Can anyone look up the 1900, 1910 and 1920 censuses for Otter Creek Township and Streator City for two Gaff families. The 1880 census for Otter Creek gave these details; GAFF, Henry 35 farmer-married born England parents born England Rachel 34 wife born England parents born England Thomas 10 son born Missouri Arthur 8 son born Illinois Johnathan 5 son born Illinois George 2 son born Illinois The other Gaff family is listed in Streator City; GAFF, John 32 coal miner born England, parents born England Sarah 30 wife born England, parents born England William 10 son born Missouri Anna 8 daughter born Illinois Hubert 3 son born Illinois Eva 1 daughter born Illinois I'm hoping that there will be an Alfred Gaff born to one of the families to provide the link with the owner of farm 'section 11' at Otter Creek, in the 1917 Prairie Farmers Directory. Many thanks Steve

    3. Not sure where you are located but I have referenced that book myself at the Dallas Public Library in Dallas, TX. I believe I have also seen it available on microfilm so you might want to check someone like University Microfilms. I checked the FHL Catalog online from Salt Lake. They list the book, but not a filmed version of it. Check with your local library and see if it may be available through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). 3. Steve, Alfred Gaff would be the name. Streator R6 is the post office address. Otter Creek, Sec11, is the location- Section 11 of Otter Creek Township, La Salle County. T120a means he is the tenant on 120 acres. Mrs. H. Gaff is the landowner. (1902) means he has been a resident of La Salle County since 1902. The 1880 census shows a Henry Gaff and family living in Otter Creek township. Mrs. H. is probably Henry's wife Rachel. Unsure of the relation to Alfred.
