    1. [ILLASALL-L] Info. on St Hyacinth Cem.
    2. Need to know how to find information on FILIP & JOSEPHA PIKULA, our gg grandparents who are buried in St. Hyacinth Cem. Went to the church in LaSalle & talked to the secretary, records show Josepha as a member but nothing on him. At the Cem. I found them, the names are recorded on a tall stone with her birth & death dates, but only his name is carved on the stone. Believe he died before she did and that was 1911. Would like to know how to locate someone with the cemetery registry. TIA

    2. Hi John, I looked in the i892 Plat Map Book for La Salle and found a Martin Dooley, in Brookfield Twp Section 31. I am not sure exactly what you are looking for but Martin may be a relative. I think I would contact the La Salle Gen Guild and ask if they have any death records, orbits or probate on this family. They have most of these records onsight and at a very nominal fee. Far cheaper than the court house. That is where I have gotten my records most of the time. They have an index to orbits, probate and cemeteries. I have also been successful if I can find land that they have owned to get copies of land transfers or look at film of Grantor-Grantee deeds by the LDS Family History Center. It has helped me follow families, siblings thru cousins. Wills also name alot of family members and where they have moved to. Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Sharon

    2. Hi Sharon, Still looking for something solid on Michael Dooley and wife Mary Tarpy Dooley of Peru. I received his 1892 naturalization papers recently from LaSalle County. He waited 43 years to become a citizen. Maybe there was a lingering desire to go back to Ireland. No word on Mary. Am awaiting an answer to a couple of inquiries. I'm running out of ideas. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks, John Dooley Davenport
