I am new to this list. I am looking for the FOUGHT family who were in Peru IL in 1867. They came from Carlisle PA where Anna Margaret FOUGHT was born in 1841. She married James Henderson GEER, a Union veteran, in Peru IL in 1867. They returned to PA and settled in Johnstown PA near the rest of the GEER family. I found the Guild to be an excellant source for records and info. I found names I didn't know existed. On thier website they list hotels-motels in the area as well as other institutions that handle records.
