    3. Thanks very much for looking up this information for me. I don't know exactly if it fits. My great-great grandfather was named James Fagan. The only documented record I have for him was that he was married in 1876 in Lake County. The James you mentioned would have been 44 in 1876 -- pretty old (for those days) to have had 8 children. His daughter, Rose, was born in Deerfield according to oral history. I think I have more digging to do before I know if this is a match. I do appreciate the help, though!
