I have not made a contact for a marriage license, however, for Paul and Margaret...yet. I have pulled up similar hits on Paul on the social security sites, too. He is such a mystery! My mother told me he was referred to as a "family friend" for years and her last recollection of him was when she was about 12, which would have been around 1926. Later, she was told that he was her father, which was quite upsetting to her. He vanished and was never heard from family again, or so I've always been told. He was a young guy who served in WWI (I have post cards he wrote to his sisters and photos of him) and when his wife died and he was left with a young child, he simply couldn't handle the responsibilty, apparently. He asked one of his sisters and her husband to adopt my mother. At one time, I heard a comment that he may have gotten! into some trouble in Wisconsin. So, you may be on a trail!
