    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sg.2ADI/1831.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Jayne- I can't locate Margaret's death record in Illinois. They have their records posted for that time but her's doesn't show up. From what I understand, it's not complete. Cook County is complete upto 1915 tho'. Chicago is in Cook county and it's the next county south of Lake. McHenry county, which is west of Lake isn't complete. Lake County also is incomplete. But the Lake County Courthouse would have the record if she died in Waukegan or Antioch. You have her exact date of death, is there an obit that goes with that or is that also just family info? Have you tried the Waukegan Library to see if they would look up an obit or a death notice for you? Their website is; www.waukeganpl.org/ . Did you get a copy of their marriage license yet? That should be at the Lake County Courthouse. It may hold more information. Are you aware of the Social Security Death Index, sponsored by RootsWeb? If not, it's located at; http://ssdi.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi . I just put in Paul Scott, born 1893 and came up with 6 hits. You'd probably be better able to pick through them. It might help if you can be more specific on his date of birth. If you find a likely candidate, you can also order his application. Just make sure you're very positive before you order, I think it costs $27 now. Another option might be the NARA Archives in Chicago. If he joined the service, which might be a good possibility, they can help you locate records too. Their website is located at; http://aad.archives.gov/aad/ . You can contact them with questions. I'll keep looking, in the meantime. Please let me know if you come up with any new information. John in Racine
