    3. Thank you for this Val. These old books are priceless. You are very lucky to have found a copy. My PALMER family in Waukegan is confusing as there were two Fred. Palmers. They were cousins. I know what Fred son of Matthew did for a living. He was a harness maker. The Fred I am looking for was son of John. And John didn't go to America, he stayed in Northamptonshire, England. Fred, son of John emigrated in 1854. He came with is newly wed sister Susannah and her husband Chales WHITEHEAD. This last family has been researched by another descendant. So this may well be 'my' Fred. who was renovating feathers. That sounds like a curious occupation. Perhaps it doesn't mean feathers as we are thinking about them. e.g. Feathers from a bird. I will keep on searching for more about my elusive Fred. Happy Hunting, Jean. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, August 13, 2001 5:35 PM Subject: [[ILLAKE]: ] Re: [[ILLAKE]: ] Re: [[ILLAKE]: ] Re: [[ILLAKE]: ] Lake County 1870 census. > Dear Jean, > I have an original copy.
