Hi, I haven't posted in ages but I thought I would toss my Lake Co surname out there just in case anyone sees anything. I live in NY so can't take advantage of wandering cemeteries and such out there..I do it here tho. I have Adrian Loomis, born August 6, 1855 in Lebanon, NY and died May 20, 1946, location unknown but believed to be in or near Wauconda, Illinois. He married Adeline Phidelia Hitchcock in November 1876 probably in or near Smyrna, Chenango Co., NY. She was born July 1, 1858 in Smyrna, Chenango Co., NY and died September 10, 1900 in Wauconda, IL. I have a print out of her obit and it is from a paper by the name of the Independant Register dated September 21, 1900. There is Rockefeller on it and I believe that is a town? Both Addie and Adrian are buried in St Peter's Cemetery in Wauconda, row 17 section 2 as is their son Guy Ferris Loomis who died as an infant, not long after Addie died. They also had other children who lived in and around the area I believe. I can give info on them if someone is interested. I'd really like to find out more on these people and maybe find some descendants. The family lost touch with this part of our family some time ago and I'd like to find them again. Addie was my gr gr gr aunt........her brother George was my gr gr grandfather. Thanks! Robin
This isn't related to the Justin Loomis of Bennington, NY, early 1800's, is it? He married Polly Rolph, daughter of Rev. John Rolph. I have some information on his family but would like more. Thanks.
