Initially naturalization could be done at any Court, mostly it was at County Courts. Federal Courts began doing it in 1872, but they were usually too far away and most people continued to go to County Courts (until 1906). NARA holds only the Federal Records. The State Archives normally hold the County Records, except I was told they don't have Lake Countys old records. I just thought maybe somebody had done this before. I will keep trying and let you know.
