The Waukegan Gazette was published as early as the 1850s in available on microfilm at the Waukegan Public Library and also in the Genealogy Room at Fremont Public Library in Mundelein. If the people were quite well known in the county, then there may be some mention of the divorce, but usually there is not a lot of news about local families in the early Waukegan papers.
