My ancestors were married in Lake Co. George Fish and Ann West were married 11 March 1841 by Samuel Hurlbutt, Minister of the gospel of Christ. Can anyone tell me more about this minister and what religion he might have been? I would like to see if there are any surviving church records. There were also several Fish children born in the area that may have had baptismal records. They may have been Methodist but I do not know for sure. Can anyone help? Thank you!!
My ancestors were also married by Samuel Hurlbutt. Anthony D. Miller and Eliza Pomeroy were married in 1838 in McHenry County. I too would like to have information on this minister. Anthony was associated with the Methodist Episcopal Church and was often listed as a "local preacher" in census records. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shirley Karle" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, April 29, 2001 10:52 PM Subject: [[ILLAKE]: ] > My ancestors were married in Lake Co.
