First of all the court house in Waukegan. They have genealical copies of cert for only $4.00. Newer ones are $8.00. They are busy there so if you do not have the right dates they might not do the search. 2) Freemont Library in Mundeline on Midlothian rd. This is were the Lake county Genealogical/ Historical soc has all of the books and copies of all of there newspapers. 3) Northern Ill University in Dekalb county - This is sure worth the trip! They have tons of documents there such as Probates and more. See the Illinios Archives web site. Send me your direct email I will send you there link. I have done lots of searching in Lake county.
