Lenora Peterson, died in Waukegan, Illinois and I am seeking to find the cemetery where she is buried. I understand there are three cemeteries in Waukegan, Oakwood, Union and St. Mary's. Is this correct? Are there any others? Can anyone on this list give me the addresses for the above three cemeteries, so, I can write to them to see if Lenora is buried in any of them. Hi, I'm trying to trace the Chittenden family of Lake co. Miron and his wife Polly, son John, and daughters Betsey, Sophia, and Emily came to Lake county before 1845 and settled on the north shore of Third lake, sometimes called Chittenden lake on the old maps. I've hit a brick wall on Miron's parents, and though I've found he and Polly's obits through the Waukegan Gazette, they didn't list any parents. Emily married James Druce, and died may 29, 1868, and is buried in Avon Centre with her father Miron Sophia married James Burge and she died July 31, 1885 and is buried in Avon Centre with her husband, next door to her father and sister Polly Chittenden died nov 14, 1871 and is buried in Warren twp at something called Whitmore. . .a puzzle to me but I'm currently speculating that it might have been a farm owned by a Whitmore family. Her son John lived in Warren twp at the time but he is buried in Waukegan at Oakwood with his wife and many of his children Betsey, daughter of Miron and Polly is missing. When Miron died his obit referred to 2 daughters with Sophia mentioned as living in Lake Co. I'm presuming Betsey had married and moved out of the county but an trying to track her down.
