Does anyone happen to have the 1870 census for Lake County, particularly of Hainsville, Avon, Grayslake and Waukegan please? I am particularly searching for George PALMER who was disabled in the Civil War and was discharged in 1865. He is said to have moved from Waukegan to Hainsville. Can anyone supply me with the name of a good professional researcher who would search for his war records for me please? I am looking for the WHITEHEAD family in Avon or Grayslake. I am looking for Frederick PALMER who was living with the WHITEHEAD family in Avon in 1860. I can't find him in any of the Civil War listings even though the family story is that he died during the Civil War. Did he in fact move away to another township in Lake County?
