Hello Jonathan, I found a Fred Krueger, age 36, listed in th 1880 census of Lake County, IL in Warren Township with his wife, Frederica, age 34, and children, Anna, Robert, Herman, Minnie, Matilda and Bettie, ages 12 thru 3 months. Is this the family you are looking for? I do not find the family in the 1870 census. Fred was listed as a carpenter, so the family may have moved to the county between 1870 and 1880.
