Hi, I am looking for immigration records on my grandparents who came from Sweden in 1910 to 1916. I have checked the Ellis Island files with no results. They werer Gustaf E.and Martha Anderson who settled in Lake Forest Illinois . where he worked as a gardener and groundskeeper on the Ryerson Estate. They lived on the grounds and raised 3 daughters there. They are buried in Lake Forest cemetery. I am trying to locate their immigration records ,so I can start exploring the Swedish side of my ancestry. I have the citizenship paper from 1919 {from Waukeegan},but this does not give me the info I need to research in Sweden. Can anyone give a clue on where to look now? Thanks, Vaun Coleman
Try the Swenson Center, at Augustana College. They have an emigration database. http://www.augustana.edu/administration/swenson/ Bob ----- Original Message ----- From: vavnc <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, June 06, 2001 9:32 PM Subject: [[ILLAKE]: ] information > Hi, I am looking for immigration records on my grandparents who came from Sweden in 1910 to 1916.
