Golf Course at Great Lakes Commander W.A. Moffett of the Great Lakes Naval Training Station is a great believer in the value of "Jack at play," and encourages any form of sport he thinks beneficial to the men under him. Recently the Great Lakes Golf Club was formed, with the commander as president. A nine hole course, measuring 2,775 yards, was laid out over the parade grounds, and although many of the officers are new to the sport it has proven popular, the club having a membership of thirty-four.
