Would anyone know where I could possibly find a list of Hotels that were open for business in 1910 in the Antioch - Fox Lake area. Besides the Minneola....... I just received information from a very kind woman on WITTE, Herman J. in 1910: proprietor of a hotel. He lived in Fox Lake at that time. Thanks, Denise

Denise, My girlfriend's last name was Witte (an appropriated name from an ex-hubby...lol). His family was from Lake County, IL. He no longer lives in this area, but his brother may. I talked to my girlfriend and she was not familiar with the name Herman J., but mentioned that her ex's grandfather's name was Julius. She also said she was not aware of any ownership of a hotel. Perhaps he has an email address... I can find out if you like, just let me know.
