Hi List, I'm new to the crowd. On one of the other lists we've been discussing how our ancestors in Milwaukee came to Waukegan to get quickie marriages. So, this got me to thinking that perhaps that may be why I can't find the marriage record for my Great Grandparents in Milwaukee. My Great Grandmother was under 18 years old as well, which leads me to believe they may have done this on the sly. So, I would like to make a request of someone going in that direction, to please look up a marriage record for John Bochinski and Constance Winiecki. They married on November 16, 1903, according to the family bible. I'd be more than happy to reimburse for cost of copying and postage. Thanks so much for any help. ~Michelle
Michelle, The Illinois Statewide Marriage Index can be found online here: http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/cgi-bin/archives/marriage.s Unfortunately, it only covers 1763-1900.... you might have to write the courthouse in Waukegan to get records from 1903.
