Sophie Dettman died Mar 27 1895. Born May 10, 1821 in Germany. She is buried in Cook Co. She lived in Northfield prior to death. I cannot find her death registered in Cook Co. Since the border between and Cook and Lake were so close, perhaps she is listed in Lake Co. I would appreciate any information you could give to help. me. Thanks Lou Zastrow

Louise-- Illinois state law did not require that all deaths and births be reported until June of 1916. Only marriages had to be recorded from the beginning of the state.
