Hello, I am looking for the location of a 1/2 mile Harness/Horse race track that was in Libertyville in the late 1800's to the early 1900's. Could still be there for all I know. Searching: Breautigam, Hecht, Koch, Petersen, McMahon in the Libertyville area jentami

Recently, as his Eagle Scout project, a young man researched this issue. I saw a sign on a side street in Libertyville, proclaiming it as the former site of the track. If I can dig up any other info, I'll let you know. Or you just might want to contact the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society directly. (they work out of Cook Memorial Library, 413 N. Hi P.M. the horse track you are looking for was the one at the old fair gronds N.E. of town. Talked to oldtimer here and that the one he can think of because he was a jocky in his early years .I hope this help. RAY "P.M.
