The Cooks lived in the unincorporated subdivision of Wildwood (between Grayslake and Gurnee). The couple was very active in Boy Scouts. Bernie was the Scoutmaster of Troop 71 in Wildwood for many years. He was also a retired Naval Chief Petty Officer. I think Bernie passed away in the 1990's; I'm not sure about Mrs. Cook. They did have at least one son. -Dave Adams

Carl F. Dessmeier. Does anyone know what happened to the church and where its records might be? Did it merge with another? I found an obit for Rev. Dessmeier at age 80 in 1939. He officiated the marriage of my grandparents in Crown Point in 1904. Does anyone know if there was a mission church from the Meth. Episcopal in Crown Point?
