    2. Good Morning, I am researching Andrew Larson, from Waukegan. His obit says he was buried along with his wife Mary in the Mausoleum in Waukegan on Grand Ave. We can find no listing of this place. He was supposedly the first person buried there. My sister would like to visit there. Can anyone help us out. He would be our Great Uncle. [email protected] Kathleen Flary Thank You for any help you can give us.

    2. Ray - Could you send me info on the Modern Woodmen of America? In Brenda's note, she mentioned an article on MWA. My grandfather was a member of the Waukegan Camp and I was just curious to learn more about them. I don't know if BenHur was a branch of MWA or not. He was also a member of Ben Hur. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Carol

    3. I don't know specifically about the deaths and burials of Hiram or Elizabeth Parker, but I am researching the Vandermark family, two of whose daughters (M. Caroline and Maria C.) married Levi and James Parker of Avon, Lake County. I am not sure of the relationship, but they may be brothers or cousins of Hiram. James died in Lake County, but Levi moved to Cerro Gordo County, IA before 1860 and later to Otter Tail County, MN. I don't know if any other Parkers moved with Levi to IA, but I did notice on a trip to Mason City, IA that there were a lot of Parker stones in the cemetery I visited. I didn't have time to check any of them, and the names would not have meant anything to me. If you cannot find cemetery records for Hiram or Elizabeth in Lake County, you might want to try Cerro Gordo County, IA. Do you know if they moved to WA or if any of their children moved to other states? 3. I found a "Orin Parker" buried in Angola Cemetery in the book, "Lake Villa Township Cemetery Inscriptions", published by the Lake County Genealogical Society. Next to Orin is buried Sarah Parker. According to the book, neither of the stones have a date or age on them. Also buried at Angola Cemetery is Elizabeth Parker, died March 16, 1917 at age 89 years, 9 months. On the same lot with her are buried Sylvia Parker (no age or date) and Ellen Parker, died 1869 (no age). There is no listing for Hyram Parker. Angola Cemetery was established in 1855, so if Hyram died before 1855, he would not be buried there. There are several other Parker burials in this cemetery. If you would like a copy of the book, it cost $7.00 plus postage and can be ordered from the Lake County Genealogical Society % Dorothy Dolph, 134 Goodwin Place, Mundelein, IL 60060. A complete list of publications of the Lake Co. (IL) Genealogical Society is available on their web site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~illcgs/index.htm There may be an obituary or death notice in the newspaper for Elizabeth Parker, which may give the death date of her husband. There was an Antioch newspaper published in the time period of her death and a Libertyville newspaper that covered most of the county. Both have been microfilmed and are available in local libraries. They may be available on interlibrary loan. Hope this helps. Carol Knigge

    3. Hi Ray, Thank you so much for taking the time for me. I am aware of the Koller names that you saw. The 17 year old Charles would have been the right one. He was the one that later married my Caroline Johnson. H.J. Koller (brother of Charles) married a sister to my g.grandmother. I had also found These people in the 1880 census for Lake County as well as the 1900 census, although by that time Charles Koller was deceased. If you were able to photocopy that article re the Modern Woodmen of America re the office refurbishing that you mentioned before, I would sure love a copy or to atleast learn what it says if it's not too much trouble. -Brenda G. 1. [[ILLAKE]: ] ALLNER and CORRIN Surnames
    2. Lisa
    3. Hello, I am new to this list and to family research in general.. I am researching my maternal side of my family. My mother was Elizabeth Hellen Corrin b. 7/8/1915 Chicago (according to her birth cert) d 10/4/1999 Tucson, AZ. She went to Antioch High School, not sure of graduation year. Her father was Richard Thomas Corrin b 7/1/1887 in Chicago (according to my mother's birth cert) d. 12/6/1943. Her mother was Leonore Cecilia Allner b 8/10/1884 Mil. WI d 5/16/1969 CA. My grandmother Leonore had two siblings that I am aware of: Richard Frederick Allner b. 5/24/1887 Mil, WI d 10/1982 and Irma Clara Allner b 5/19/1897 d 12/1984. There parents were Fred Allner and Emma Lowe. Richard Allner had two children: June Allner and Jayne Allner b 6/16/1919 d 11/15/1997 in Antioch. She married a George Wagner. Do any of the above have any connections to your families? It seems that the two surnames are few and far between. Thank you, Lisa Tucson, AZ [email protected] wrote: > Hello: I am seeking info on a William Henry Seymour, who is listed as age 70 > in 1898 when he signed a paper stating his knowledge of his brother's > pre-Civil War military service. > William Henry Seymour lists his residence as Wauconda, Lake Co., Illinois. > thank you, > Donna Cuillard in So.CA

    3. It is on Arlington Heights Road near Checker Road, about 1/2 mile north of Lake Cook Avenue. It is a very small cemetery and was recently renovated by a Boy Scout Troop who took it upon themselves to spruce it up for the Eagle Scout Badges. I believe that our Vernon Township Cemeteries book has the information on this Cemetery. It is $16.50 plus $4 shipping, a total of $20.50. If you give me your first and surnames, I will check to see that they are included in the book AnnEllen Barr [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: M L Fuller [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, May 19, 2001 6:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [[ILLAKE]: ] Knopf Cemetery I'm trying to learn more about the Knopf Cemetery.
