    1. [[ILLAKE]: ] New to List
    2. Jean Ebert
    3. Hi, I am new to this list. I am researching my husbands family who were from Highland Park, both his Mothers and Fathers families. The names that I am researching are Ebert, Berube, Rickwardt, Rioux, Kelly & Williams (Wilhelm) I have some help from one of his Ebert aunts, and some Berube cousins, as well as his 95 year old Grandmother. She is a walking history lesson. Thanks, Jean Ebert

    1. [[ILLAKE]: ] Dumrauf Cemetery List is growning!
    2. Charlotte E. Flock
    3. Thank You, Each and everyone of you, my list is growing. This is only the cemeteries that have been check so far for the surname Dumrauf or Dumerauf or it could be Dumruff. I'm not excluding any Cemeteries. These are just the ones I have check or someone else has check for me. I would very much like to have the Catholic and Lutheran Cemeteries check also. I found the surname Dumrauf is uncommon name. My Great Great Grandmother Anna Mary Dumrauf (Is how I will spell it for now) was born 1838 in Bavaria and died in McHenry co., IL in 1902. Anna Mary Dumrauf was married to John Schmitt, sometime in 1865 or earlier their first two children were born in Buffalo Grove, IL. Joseph Schmitt b. 1866 Buffalo Grove, IL Adam Schmitt b. 1868 Buffalo Grove, IL Andrew Schmitt b. 1870 McHenry Co., IL Michael Schmitt b. 1871 McHenry Co., IL John Schmitt b. 1872 McHenry Co., IL My Great Great Aunt, gave us a little bit of information to go on for the Dumrauf side, and she had it spelled so many different ways. This is a list of Anna Mary Dumrauf siblings Joe Dumrauf b. 1832 Bavaria Andrew Dumrauf b. 1834 Bavaria Anna Mary Dumrauf b. 1838 Bavaria (This is the Line I come off of) Adam Dumrauf b. 1841 Bavaria (There is a listing for a Adam Dumrauf that married a Sarah Bauer in Kane Co.., IL 10 Feb 1880. This would this would almost has to be mine) (In the 1880 census their is a Adam Dumerauf in Elgin, Kane Co., IL with a Sarah as his wife) Michael Dumrauf b. 1849 (I believe this is the one that is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Huntley, McHenry County) Annie Dumrauf b. 1856 Bavaria So this gives you a little bit of who I'm looking for. I will take any Dumrauf surname in the four county area, and check it out. Even if they was buried recently. It give me a clue to my ancestors. 3. I am passing along a query I made and the response. Hopefully it will be of benefit to some. -Brenda G. Subject: Webform Request for Family History Library Catalog for Windows I read in FAMILY CHRONICLE magazine that Microfilms of the Manifests (Customs Passenger Lists) for Castle Garden is available through FHC but am unable to find it listed in your catalogue online. What key words should I be using? Dear Ms. Gaetz; I had the same problem as you. So I have forwarded your e-mail to the people who build the FHCatalog. In the meantime I did find some handy web sites. Go to your browser address line and type in - http://community-2.webtv.net/mpetzolt2/nyarrivals/ or better yet copy and paste this link address into the address space in your browser. When you get the page, "Researching Passenger Arrivals into New York", scroll down to step 4. to the third paragraph, years and film numbers. Since Castle Garden was only used from Aug 1855 to Apr 1890 you will want the block of films starting with #0002246. This whole web sight is a treasure of information of just the kind you need as it has good advice on searching through the numbers by plugging them into FHL Catalog in the film/fiche search. You can narrow your search down to one or two films with this advice. Hopefully! Good luck. Sincerely, Family History Support

    3. I have updated my web pages. On Genealogy2000 I have the identities of the actors in the Waukegan, Illinois Mother Of God Church "Nuns" play. On Genealogy2002 I have updated the death index with more obituaries. The most are with the surname Svete, Merlock and Jereb. But there are also many other names. I have also posted an announcement about the newly formed Willard Historical Society. ===== [email protected] http://genealogy2002.tripod.com http://communities.msn.com/genealogy2000 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 2. In 1911 there were other funeral homes - White & Tobin and then it became Tobin Funeral Home. This was on N. Genesee St. and probably used alot in 1911. Don't know where the records are kept. If she was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, the records are at Ascension Cemetery, Buckley Rd., Libertyville, Ill. 60048. They might be able to give you the interment date and from there you might be able to find a copy of her obituary. The Waukegan Public Library reference desk does look ups. But you would need the date of death (or close to it.) Good luck in your search.

    3. St. Joseph and St. Bartholomew churches consolidated and were renamed Holy Family Parish around 1994 and are both scheduled to close around mid April to move to another site. I worked for St. Joe's during part of a summer back in high school and I remember having to box up 50+ year old records to be shipped off to the archdiocese of Chicago.
