    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Smith, Handy, Hayes, Holden, Ludwig, Pennington Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sg.2ADI/1826 Message Board Post: TB Smith and AE Handy are my great-grandparents. EH Smith and SA Hays are my great-great grandparents. All 4 died and were buried in Ivanhoe, IL, and buried at the Ivanhoe cemetery. I have no plans to visit there very soon, but would like to have someone do some research for me on these 4 and their siblings and children. There must be church records or minutes along with obits for each. They were longtime residence of Ivanhoe, so there should be aplenty of paper trails other than the usual census records. I would like to build a "character" along with their names and dates. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Contact me if you're interested, I have some info already on them, but want to go in-depth about who they were, was there a church life, what they did to survive in IL. Thanks.

There was also a mink farm on Stearns School Road, not far from Route 41 in Gurnee, IL. I don't know who owned it, except MAYBE it had something to do with the name SCHWAIGHART. It may be that SCHWAIGHART was associated with them because the farm was sold to them, or the SCHWAIGHART family was somehow related to the family that lived there.

    2. I know of Steve Debelic who owned the house that we lived in when I was in high school. It was 120 Frontage Road. Waukegan, Illinois but was in Warren Township High School District. He had a son but I don't remember his name but he was somewhat shellshocked from the war. Surnames: Linane Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Sg.2ADI/1822 Message Board Post: My husband is currently working at a restaurant in Wauconda,IL (Lake County)and they are in the process of renovating the building. We believe that this building at one time was a private home and over the years, was added onto and turned into a restaurant. While they were tearing down walls etc, the workers came across several papers belonging to a Frank J Linane. One of the papers is a National Service Life Insurance certificate which also has the name of another person with the last name of Linane and an address in Nokomis,IL (Montgomery County). There are also some military papers belonging to Frank J Linane. There is a letter to Frank from his Mother but her name is not on the envelope just her return address. Frank was living in Chicago at this time. Frank was born in 1913 according to one of the papers. We are quite intrigued and excited to find these papers and would like to be able to give them to a family member. If you know who Frank is and can prove to be a relative, we would like you to have them. And maybe you can fill us in as to how the papers were in Wauconda when he at one time lived in Nokomis.
