Hi Jan- My Pittman family is descended from Byard Pittman born in Todd County Ky in 1834, moved to Schuyler County IL and was killed in the Civil War 12/15/64. Have not been able to get back any further. I know there are Pitmans in Knox County but have not seen a connection yet. My Grandmother was Mae Pittman Clay, she lived close to Cameron (Warren County) after her marriage to my grandfather, Lawrence Clay. She lived with the Sprout family at Phelps IL (Warren County) after the death of her mother in 1897.Thanks for any help you can provide. Barb Clay Adams
