This is a tough quest...I only recall it being called "Mrs. Gloss/Closs/??? Foundling home or orphans home. Her first name was Louise. It was there in the mid 1940's. Louise G./C. may even have been the social worker, or the administrator Does anyone have the faintest idea where this was located??, like a brick bldg./house south of Main St., or where a juvenile center later located? Where might the records from here now be located or available? Thanks so much, Ginny
The only one I can think of was the Louise Harrington home on the corner by Mary Allen West school. Is that the one you are thinking of? pat :@) -----Original Message----- From: Ginny [mailto:rgseaholm@globaldialog.com] Sent: Wednesday, December 06, 2000 1:12 PM To: ILKNOX-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILKNOX-L] Mrs. "Gloss" orphans home This is a tough quest...I only recall it being called "Mrs. Gloss/Closs/???
