They all lived in Galesburg in 1880 as their in the census . George came to Galesburg from Mt Vernon ,Ohio with his wife Elizabeth Marble in 1856 .Would like to know about the brothers , Any Info would help
I dont have any info on the brothers but the name of MARBLE caught my eye.On the 1860 census for Galesburg there was a Rob Roy ( Robert Roy) MARBLE living with a WILLIAMS family in Clinton Twp of Galesburg. This MARBLE family came from Mt Vernon Ohio also. The children were living with several families in Galesburg in 1860 and 70s. The head of this MARBLE family was Jesse Hannibal who was blind at the time and was living with his daughter Jeanett who was working for the BEENY family. Jesse H had a daughter Eliza J. Could she possibly be your Elizabeth who married George? My ROGERS line married into this MARBLE line.
