Over the years, the Knox County Genealogy Society has assembled a wonderful array of research into numerous publications most or all of which are freely available at the Galesburg Public Library. Unfortunately, virtually none of it is available on-line through the Society website at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilknox/knsociety.htm or the Knox County GenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilknox/knindex.htm. I would like to find out if the Society has any objections to someone scanning their publications so they can be accessible to everyone through the Knox County GenWeb site. The Society website offers no way to communicate with them except snail mail, so I am hoping that some of their officers are members of this list and can offer me their thoughts on this.
