By chance, are you researching Smith of Knox Co....My Conrad/Coonrod Smith and Barbara Knauss were parents of over 10 children all living in and around Knox Co....One son, John Smith and wife Mary Gingling and children are from Knox Co. and died there......My problem child, their daughter, Susan Smith is the one I'm seeking info on..... Susan married John Davis of Henry Co. about 1860 (can't find a marriage record) He died abt 1861 and Susan remarried Wm B. Hendrickson 1862 under name of Susan Smith...1870 she shows up in Knox Co., with l Davis child and 2 Hendrickson children and no husband. Davis child,Senith Arvilla Davis in her journal said her mother Susan Smith Davis Hendrickson gave her children away because she couldn't support them about 1872. Haven't been able to find any documentation for any of this.....Appreciate any lookup you are willing to do at your convenience. Thank you. Grace
