Posted on: Knox Co. Il Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Knox/771 Surname: Donaho, Kerns, Shumaker ------------------------- I'm researching my 3 g great grandfather James DONAHO b. 1820 in Kentucky and died March 4, 1903 in Knox Co. James DONAHO came to Knox Co. IL. around 1875 and settled in Abingdon. James DONAHO married Mrs. Rebecca KERNS on April 18, 1878 in Knox Co.I have family information which states, the funeral for James DONAHO was at M. E. Church in Hermon in 1903. It was conducted by Rev. ? ELSEA Pastor of the Christian Church at Abingdon. James Donaho was buried at M.E. Cemetery in Hermon. James DONAHO has a big beautiful marker at this cemetery with Rebecca KERNS name, and birth date of 1840, but there is no death date given for Rebecca on the marker? I would appreciate any information concerning James DONAHO and Rebbeca KERNS and their families and relatives. I'm also curious to find out the name of the M. E. Church and Cemetery at Hermon. I also have a marriage record for John KERNS and Mary DONAHOE in Knox Co. 8/15/1870, but I do not have a connection made to James and Rebecca. Thank you for your help!!
