One of those in attendance offered to send me a transcribed copy of a journal by Charles Mecum concerning the Jayhawkers trip to California. She was related through the Richards family. Barb, I, too, am very interested in the journal by Charles Mecum. Abram M. Richards (my 3rd grt. grandfather) was one of the Jayhawkers.
