Il Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Il/Knox/760 Surname: Butts, Bartlett, Mills, Brown ------------------------- Elizabeth Bartlett was my grt.-grandmother. She was born 4-20-1827 in Galesberg,Il. (some sources say "Michigan") She married my grt. grandfather John Mills Brown (a student at Knox college) 4-24-1849 in Galesberg. (I have marriage cert.) I have reason to believe she is a decendent of Dr. Josiah Bartlett b.11-21-1727 0r 29. He became very prominant in New Hampshire. I am trying to fill in the blanks between Elizabeth and him. She might be a grand-daughter of his. (He had several sons). I would appreciate any information concrning her parents in Galesberg or other relatives. I have a lot of information concerning her children and her life up to her death in Hayes,KS 2-14-1876 that I would be glad to share with anyone interested. I've been trying to solve this puzzle for several years so any information would be greatly appreciated. Bill Butts Rt. 1 Box 840 Big Cabin,OK 74332 (918)785-2100

    3. Isn't 1827 a little early to have been born in Galesburg or even Knox County? Too bad she got married before the 1850 census. Good luck. Willliam Butts wrote: > Posted on: Knox Co.
