Patti: Your Salvadore Ryan was here in Knox county and married to Margaretta Erickson in 1876. They appear in the 1880 census with two children and her father, John Erickson. They are buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, also Genevieve Ryan Freeman. I can furnish 1880 and 1900 census and death records.
