I found that Emma REDLINGSHAFER is listed in the SSDI as having died in Knox Co., IL. I am trying to tie in the Illinois REDLINGSHAFER family to the rest of the group in our family. George and Dorothea REDLINGSHAFER emigrated in 1848 from Bavaria and lived with George's daughter, Barbara REDLINGSHAFER FISCHER, in Pennsylvania. Barbara had at least two brothers, James and John Casper, who were also in Pennsylvania at that time. George's other children, Barbara's steps, corresponded with Barbara for quite some time, but I can't get any definite proof of where the children of James and John may have gone. Two of George's daughters married Banschbach brothers and settled in Tazewell Co., IL. I know there are other REDLINGSHAFERS in northern Illinois but haven't been able to get any information from the current group about their forebears. If you are from the present-day descendants or know of them, I will gladly share photos and information! All help is appreciated.
