Saffer in Knox County IL; descendants of Joseph White in Union County, Iowa; in other words my distant missing cousins. Any missing info would be a big help. Nov 27, 1836 2-Joseph WHITE (16 Jun 1836-Died in infancy) 2-James WHITE (13 Jun 1838-30 Mar 1884) born England not living w/wife according to Jane White estate papers sp: Virginia BARRETT (-) have marriage in Fulton County on 3 Apr 1862 In 1888 settlement of Janes estate listed her as Virginia White living in Galesburg. 3-Maggie C. WHITE (abt 1863-) living in Galesburg 1888 married 17 Oct 1882 Knox Cty Husband worked on railroad sp: Willis N. YOUNG (1854-1895) have marriage info; Willis died 1895 bur Hope Cemetery Galesburg parents Randall Young and Clara Crandall, Kane County IL 3-Luella B. WHITE (abt 1864-) Husband worked on railroad. sp: John N. SAFFER (abt 1860-) from Browning, Schuyler County, IL married 27 Sep 1883 Knox Cty IL. Parents G. H. Saffer/Nancy unknown 3-John R. WHITE (-) 2-Joseph WHITE (27 Sep 1840-7 Mar 1898) to Creston, Union Cty, Iowa by 1888 sp: Lydia BURBRIDGE (abt 1847-) born in Ohio according to 1870 IL Piatt County census need to confirm last name and would like parent info 3-Rena WHITE (abt 1863-) Piatt county 1870 census 3-Albert WHITE (abt 1865-) 3-Annie WHITE (abt 1866-) (cant find this family in Union county Iowa yet or what has become of descendants) 2-Benjamin WHITE (6 Oct 1844-2 Apr 1891) never married born England 2-Thomas WHITE (15 Feb 1847-3 Nov 1903) my maternal gr grandfather born England sp: Harriett Emma "Hattie" FETTERS (18 Mar 1848-10 Sep 1890) born Carroll County OH married 27 Jan 1870 Knox Cty IL Thomas married 2nd Maggie Koelle and lived with her children in Davenport, Iowa in 1903 when he died. Last child, a son of original couple, John H. White, born in America and married in Piatt county Illinois Mary W. "Mollie" Mace 12 Dec 1878 in Monticello Piatt County IL. He moved to Creston, Union Cty IA with brother Joseph and was living there in 1888 at time of aforementioned estate settlement. I have located some of his descendants but he may have had siblings Earl, Ray F., and Esther. If they have any descendants, I would like to find them. It's a big order, I know, but if I get it archived perhaps someone down the line will make a connection. If anyone has an index so I would know what film to order, that would be a great help.
