My ggrand. Peter Augustus Johnson,according to family story, came to America @ 1845 when he was 8 with an older sister. His father was a carpenter in Stockholm, Sweden, supposedly both parents deceased. I wish to locate this sister, possibly other siblings. My ggrand married 1860 Desire Roberts, dau. of Stephen Roberts (a 49er) and a Clark, from England. Ggrand. was a blacksmith on the Mississippi, and served in the IL in Civil War. I wonder if his sister went to Prophetstown. Peter lived to 88.
