Hi, Beryl...... I was following up on some data within one of the obituaries you'd sent on the Davis family. John E. Davis lived in "DeLong".......and I couldn't find it on any present day maps. The listers let me know it's REALLY small! And yes (!) I received the data on Silence (Hall) Phillips' obituary.....thank you very much! :>) Also Owen Betterton's will.......you are a real treasure trove! Just getting myself back into my emails. Son's surgery yesterday went very well, and he came home the same day. He's in ice packs and a leg immobilizer, and right now VERY zoned out on narcotics. Waiting for my husband to get home from work at 1 p.m., so I can leave the house and get groceries. Hope you received my meager list of Davis items I have to share. I am excited about the "more Davis" things you have to send, and I owe you such gratitude for your generous sharing. Also.......just wondering.......there are two EDWARDS brothers listed in 1878 book, which I have the entries for. They also were born in Somerton, England (sons of George and Elizabeth Edwards). I keep wondering if they are at all related to Martha (Edwards) Davis (James Davis' wife). Any ideas?
