They had children: William b. 1859, Cora b. 1862 (m Fremont Ballou), Henry b. 1864.

I know I should have jumped in earlier, but I didn't have the energy to look for the data. A good place to get Knox County documents is from Illinois Archives. Go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilgenweb/ then follow the State of Illinois Archives Database (IRAD) link. The IRAD location for Knox is Western Illinois U. They do the research for free and bill you for photocopying. I recently received copies of two marriage certificates and documents. The bad news is that up to 1863 at least there is NO genealogical information on the documents. Names and date of marriage, yes. But no ages, town, parents. The one I asked for had a woman of 70, married twice before, but the only support document swears that she is (over) 18, signed by her former stepson. Charlotte
