Gina, I think this would be too early for the orphan trains. We didn't have any trains in Knox Co. until the last days of 1854. I am of the opinion that the first train into Chicago from the East was after 1850, though close to that date. I associate orphan trains with the last decades of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Hope this is some help. There were some Clarks who settled in Orange Twp and buried at Haynes Cemetery if that is of any help.
