IL -- he was b. June 26, 1816 in TN-- he was married and had a family -- we have good reason to believe that her name was Elizabeth Childers -- something happened to Elizabeth -- Robert was married to Emma ? possibly Telitha Emaline Sargent -- Emma was born in 1848 in Yates City, Knox Co. IL. They had 3 children -- George Elmer, Nettie or Nellie, and Martha Rose. all b. in Yates City in 1873 - 77. They are listed in Elba township in 1880 census. At some time prior to 1894, Robert and Elmer (and possibly the 2 girls and Emma moved to Kansas City MO -- Robert died in 1894. Would appreciate any information on this family. Thanks

A biography in the 1878 Knox Co history: KENNEDY, George W. Farmer, P.O. Douglas; son of George and Nancy Kennedy, natives of Tennessee; born in 1833 in Indiana. His early life passed on the farm; removed from Tennessee to Illinois, coming to Knox Co, IL in 1844. Has been School Director six years. In 1857 he married Elisia Darnell. He made a profession of religion in 1865 or '66. Democrat. Hope this might be of some help. Joan :o)
