I don't know if this Thomas Pool might be connected to your Pool family, but just in case: Knox County, Illinois History 1878, pg 700 POOL, THOMAS H. A farmer, the son of Benjamin and Nancy Pool, who were of Southern birth, and removed to Clark County, Indiana where Thomas was born Aug. 19, 1830. When but four years old he came with his parents to Henderson County, Illinois, and in 1841 settled in Knox County. He was married Dec. 4, 1850 to nancy McMurtry.
