Scott in the 1870 Census in Haw Creek Twp. If he had a daughter named Elizabeth (Lizzie is also how she is listed in the 1900 Nebraska Census, with her husband P.B. Gentry) then I think this is right! I would be really surprised to find more than one Bigger Head Scott in Knox County IL-someone told me that there was a Bigger Scott in the DAR Patriot Index, so possibly it is a family name. If there are Scott descendants still in the area, I would LOVE to hear from them-possibly we are kin!
