DYER, MARION A farmer, son of Joseph and Margaret (McClintock) Dyer, natives of Ohio, he was born in Fulton County, Illinois on August 12, 1836. His early life was passed on the farm, and he received a common school education. On December 25, 1855 he married Hannah Hall. They are the parents of five children, of whom four are living. He was a soldier in the 47th Illinois Infantry, and was in several battles and skirmishes. On March 4, 1864 he moved to Knox County.
