Her name was Mary Emma (Brooks). I have pictures of Matie's family and children. Mary was known as Emma. In 1899 She married David Bryant. They had one daughter, Iva. I have pictures of my Grandmother, Iva (Bryant) Phillips, with Matie's children. I also have a picture of Landrine Eggers Brooks with his family in front of his home outside of Abingdon, IL taken around 1887. Matie and Emma's mother, Rachel (McGrew) Brooks was born in Morgan County, IN. Her Father, Elisha Applegate McGrew, was born in KY in 1800 and homesteaded land in the 1820's in Morgan County, IN. His wife's name was Sarah (King), born in KY in 1803. They moved to Knox County, IL shortly before 1850. I have more information about Matie's siblings. I have a lot of old family pictures.
