Elizabeth was born in 1823 in Gallia Co. Ohio. Her parents were Solomon & Catherine Hartsook Smith who married in 1812. Elizabeth married Vinton Hale in 1844, moved to Knox Co. Illinois in 1847 from Iowa. I believe she had brothers in Knox Co before 1850, but know no names for certain. I am interested in a George W. Smith born about 1818 who married Sarah Shoemaker in Gallia Co. Ohio before moving to Knox Co. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
