I was recently searching for the death of the Great Aunt of a cousin. This aunt was murdered by her husband in about this same year as your person...1890's/ Patty Moshier, genealogist @ the Galesburg Public Library, was very helpful and successful in finding many pages of the murder, charges and trial.
