Ohio (married within the Year?) Sarah Smith, age 27, F, b. Ohio Eve Smith, age 10, F, b. Ohio John Smirh, M age 4, M, b. Illinois Jacob Smith, M, age 1, b. Illinois Christina Smith, F. age 19, b. Ohio (probably a sister to G. W.) John Calhous, M, age 18, laborer, b. Ohio (hired hand?). 1860 Census of Indian Point Township, Knox Co., Illinois. p. 155 G. W. Smith, age 41, M. farmer, b. Ohio Sarah Smith, age 37, F. b. Ohio John W. Smith, age 13, M, b. Illinois Jacob Smith, age 11, M. b. Illinois Richard Smith, age 9, M, b. Illinois Mary L. Smith, age 6, F, b. Illinois George Smith, age 4, M, b. Illinois James E. Smith, age 1, M. b. Illinois There are a few Shoemakers on the same page, but I am not sure if they are relatives. If you would like, I will attach a copy and send them to you. You might also check the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index which is on line for marriages of these children. I checked the 1870 Census but did not find G. W. or George in Knox County. I did find a George Smith in Marysville, California with a different wife. Is this something you would be interested in.
