According to Paul Tyler's certificate of death, he died in Wilmette, IL, but was buried in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, IL on 26 August 1939. Does anyone have a cemetery listing for Knoxville to confirm his burial there? Paul's wife, Violet, survived him. Is she also buried at Knoxville? Also, I have been trying to determine death dates and the final resting place of Paul's parents. I have tried census records and other means with no success in locating them. Ralph Webster Tyler (b. 1852) was alive in 1910 and was living in or around Galesburg, according to estate records of one of his deceased brothers. Could Ralph Tyler and his wife Lucy also be buried at Knoxville? Why would Paul be buried in Knoxville when he died in Wilmette, unless there was some reason such as a family plot or other tie to the community? I would appreciated it if anyone can do a cemetery lookup, or otherwise help me in my research for info on Paul and his parents. Any suggestions for local or online resources where I might conduct research?. Thanks. Dave in Texas.
Paul Arlington TYLER is buried in Section VI - Part II of the Knoxville Cemetery. His stone reads: Paul Arlington TYLER Husband 1884 - 1939 Buried next to him is: Thomas LUFKIN 1860 -1942. His grave is marked with a funeral marker and not a stone. There are several LUFKIN families buried in the Knoxville Cem. Ralph Webster TYLER and Lucy LUFKIN were married in Will County, IL 24 November 1881.
